FLIGHTS FROM US TO PVR

DOES ANYONE HAVE A GOOD SYSTEM FOR REASONABLE FLIGHTS FROM THE US TO PVR? WE ARE IN THE NORTHEAST; AND OFTEN TIMES SEE GOOD DEALS ON SOUTHWEST AIRLINES TO MAJOR HUBS IN FLORIDA, ATLANTA, DALLAS, HOUSTON. THESE WOULD BE GOOD DEALS IF YOU COULD GET THE REST OF THE WAY ECONOMICALLY. WE PLAN ON VISITING A COUPLE TIMES A YEAR. THANKS FOR ANY CLEVER AND/OR EXPERIENCED INPUT.

We live in Rhode Island. We watch Travelocity for any price monitoring. We spent the night before at my sis-in-laws house in New York and left from JFK. Thereby saving from departing from Boston or Providence. Current price is running around $500.00 each out of JFK.

try orbitz.com for the fares available...set up a fare watcher on travelocity.....be willing to look at alternate airports....i am near PHL, EWR, ABE, JFK, LGA and BWI. i will, and have, driven 2.5 hours to baltimore to save money.......sometimes it pays to find a good travel agent....i emphasize good...their bulk rates for air/hotel are great. i used them to book a trip and they got me 5 nights, air and breakfast along with tax, fees and transfers for about 100 bucks more than just the airfare......i am a control freak and like to do it myself, but she really got me a great deal. if you are able to get onto mexicana or aeromexico, their rates seem to be a bit better than us carriers, but that may not always be the case.

Most likely the only charter company that will be flying out of DFW in October will be MLT. The last few PV flights that I have made with them depart between 5:00 - 6:30 am. This will require an overnight stay in Big D. You may find a hotel somewhere in the middle of town that shuttles to both airports getting you free ground transportation. If you are somewhat flexible on departure dates your best rate will be found a couple of weeks before your travel date. You also may keep an eye on their $49.00 specials that run on the website from Tuesday thru Thursdays each week. I just checked October rates and they are going at 363.00 on a weekday departure as opposed to current rates at $213.00. Two weeks ago I paid $183.00 for a 7 night R/T that I booked about 10 days prior to departure so be patient if you can.
