Language barrier and safety

Vallarta is VERY safe, they do a fantastic job of policing the town, and I give kudos to the local government for keeping the area pretty darn safe. I feel 1000% more safe here than I did living in Minneapolis. I walk around alone at night often, or with my boyfriend and in over 6 years of coming here and 2 1/2 of living here, I have never been scared or felt uncomfortable once.

And I flunked all four years of study hall.

No language barriers! We just got back, and the locals have worked hard at accomodating us from the states. We stayed at the Marriot, not all inclusive. Great food there. Most meals within town will be comparable to here in the states. Go! - and have fun.
