We are from Canada and wondering what kind of money to bring, Cdn travellers cheques, u.s travellers cheques, debit, credit card?
We are staying at an AI resort.
Any ideas would be helpful.

TAKE CDN TRAVELLERS CHEQUES AND CHANGE YOUR MONEY OUT AS NEEDED KEEPING IN MIND ONE OF THE BEST RATES IS AT THE AIRPORT AND THE CASIO DECAMBIAS ( MONEY HOUSES) RUN OUT OF PESOS ON WEEKENDS . THE BIG BANKS WILL NOT TAKE CDN TRAVELLERS CHEQUES OR CDN CASH. Right, so they have to line up at the bank to change them to pesos - the currency of the country!

We are also from Canada (Ontario). We always take travellers cheques (Canadian dollars) - no problem getting them cashed anywhere (hotel, bank, money exchange)

Big american banks will not cash CDN fund travellers cheques the teller will look at you funny and waive her hand and says this money is no good here......the casio de cambios are fine......!

All the banks and exchanges here will accept Canadian travellers cheques.

No matter what anyone tells you some of the big American banks WILL NOT accept CDN fund travellers cheques. Ameri bank for one.!!!!!!!

You are mistaken friend. the banks here will take can. travellers checks. done it dozens of times.

Never heard of Ameri Bank, were the hell is that?
