NO CARS/BUSES ON MALECON?

Started March 6, 2004 · 3,886 views · 2 posts
We were told that no cars and buses allowed in the \"tourist zone\" along the Malecon from Friday night until Monday morning, but just last Sunday we had a cab take us right to Las Palomas. He said they close it after 6 pm. Any final plan set yet? The link below is a photo we took at 5pm Sunday and only a couple cabs, no parking, but not fully closed.

Re:NO CARS/BUSES ON MALECON?
They close the Malecon on Friday nights at 6 pm, but cabs can still come down the side streets to drop off near the restaurants. Then open during the day until 6pm each night until Mon. morning. Nice to have it quiet in the evenings, but not many actually walk on the street since it is rough cobblestones.
