Passport ok in Maiden name?

Started December 21, 2005 · 8,566 views · 3 posts
Hello all. Really looking forward to my first trip to PV. It will be a delayed honeymoon for my husband and I. Which brings us to my question....I have a passport in my maiden name. Will I be ok with just that or should I bring my birth certificate too?

Thanks!

I have to agree with Jennybean... you should take your marriage license along with you to prove the name change, and if your drivers license does have your picture on it, with the new married name and then take your birth certificate with your DL and leave the passport behind and get it changed as soon as you can. double check your ticket as well to make sure how it was issued to make sure you have all the right documentation to match that...

good luck, have fun, and enjoy...

If you are Canadian, you can have your passport amended to reflect your married name. Your ticket must be in the same name as your passport.

Have fun!
