This is our 1st time to PV. I have 15yr boy and 2 girls 7 and 13. Not going all inclusive. Wanting to know some good places to eat (Cheap). We also want to do some snorkeling, I heard that Los Arcos is the best?? Is that true?? Thinking about renting a car for a day or so, to do some sight seeing. Can you recommend places to go. What excursion is the best? How about the Carnaval Night & Day cruise?? If there is anything else you can think of I sure could use the help. Will be there July 24 - July 31. Thanks for any help that you can give us...... Oh, I hear that Christine Disco is a landmark, must be a great place......

Go to mismaloya for an all day boat trip. Ask at the dive shop you can go on a private all day boat trip for 200. to 300. And it well worth the trip they will even take you to Yelpa

I second that suggestion! You can find her little crepe stand during the evenings at Parque Hidalgo, which is about two blocks north and along the same side of the street as the downtown MacDonalds restaurant. If memory serves me correctly, she is there every evening, except Tuesday.

Be careful of going to Mismaloya for boat trips, as most of those boats are not licensed and do not follow the safety precautions that are mandatory for all boats leaving the marinas in Nuevo and Vallarta. I would not suggest going on these boats, especially with your children.
