Thunderstorms

Will be in PV next week and I noticed the forecast is for thunderstorms

:( When that area has thunderstorms do they come and go quickly, is it usually in the late afternoon or do I have hours of rain to look forward too.... :shock: I am from the pacific northwest so the last thing I wanted was rain ;(

aceinnw...rain in May is still quite limited, rainy season typically gets going in June...in any event...rain would likely be confined to a few hours in the evenings or overnight...sonofdob.

What about in July?
WHen does the rainy season start and how long does it last?
Is there Kite Surfing in PV?

Just got back and we had quite a lightening/thunder show Thursday night. So much that it struck a transformer outside our condo complex (Playa del Sol) that we were without electricity for several hours. The lightening was amazing and the thunder was almost enough to knock you out of bed. By morning all we had was a little water running down the street and puddles sitting around. Good thing was that it knocked out both air conditioning units for our condo so that we had to be moved to a wonderful upgraded unit -- unfortunately for us only one night! Still have not seen lightening and heard thunder like this in a long time.

Nice to see people who enjoy the show. Too bad about the slight damage.
