Is it safe to drink most water/ice in restaurants?

there is others with better knowledge than me on this but me and my husband had ice in our drinks and stuck to the bottled water. This was in jan. and we had no problems.

Mainstream restaurants use bottled or purified water and ice brought in by truck from the purified water place. While technically tap water is OK in PV, I stick to bottled water which is cheap and available on every corner.

I have to agree with my dear friend from Missouri, Mr Chuck. We have never had any problems with ice or water. As long as the ice has a \"hole\" in it then you know it is purified. If it is chunked like from an ice block, that is not purified. But in all the years we have been coming down, we have not had a problem. Now watch, we end up ill... NOT... just teasing...

When we were dining out of our resort and I wanted water to drink, they always asked did I want bottled, I just said said no importa and sometimes they brought a bottle and sometimes a glass of water. I never had a problem. Knock on wood.

Kathy and I have never had a problem with the water, either, and we have always just had tap water with ice even in the \"holes-in-the-wall\" type eateries. Chuck... 8)

No problems with the water. Even north in la cruz and bucerias the water is pretty good. I drank the water from the tap for 2 years and never once had a problem. I do not recommend this however !

The water is purified as is the ice in most any professional restaurant. Som of my friends have had problems in small restaurants after drinking freshly made flavored waters. In these cases nost likely the fruit was not washed properly.
