What do the natives like?

I like to take a knapsack full of t-shirts , jeans and other stuff to trade. Anyone have any suggestions as to what they like on PVR?

well i went last year and gave away abunch of tee shirts and tiped good and had great service.but thay work hard for what little thay get. but iam from the great white norh

Where exactly do you think you are going too????What do they like , try not calling them natives and think that they are uneducated enough to barter with you for your t shirts and beads. The Mexican people are business people , glad to see the tourists because we put food on their tables I have never seen anyone try and trade a t shirt for something and I feel that most of the Mexican people would be insulted by your comments . You remind me of the ignorant tourist last year who while our tour guide was telling us he spoke 4 different languages made light of the fact his English was not quite perfect . Your t shirts and other things might make nice gifts for the service people at the hotels but you would be far better off just tipping them for their services.

First off thank you Mrmike that is what I was trying to ask. I am sorry for calling the locals natives but if you live in a country are you not a native? And as for rgr take your head out of your frikkin ass mate. Try a some meds or something to take care of that condtion. And by the way personal attacks show your lack of IQ. I have been to many countries where things are hard to get and the LOCAL PEOPLE sometimes really like things that they cannot get. Thanks again mrmike those tips are very weclome.

I have been to PV several times and will be there 25th of march.
The locals love to be able to get this stuff like NFL,Nike shoes,cd players,ect
My bags are packed.

Bill, hope you have a really great time, your idea is right on target, the locals as far the beach vendors and many others really do like to trade for NFL and college ball caps and whatever, ie. t shirts etc.
girliegirl and help me rhonda and rgr you guys whats up with your negativity? I have had many travelers to many places, Jamaica any Carribean island tell of the same bartering for whatever, locally made iitems, one friend of mine says she always takes new nail polish bottles and trades for drinks, local made items, anything one wants for what you happen to have, it goes on everywhere one visits! Personally I would love to have some bars of that wonderful soap made on the island of Dominica (sp) made of aloe and other great things to help with sunburn, we have never found anything to compare with it at any place we go it is just the best soap for sunburn. Please guys relax,,,,!
Bartering reallly does go on and for just purposes; ie. the cd players and nail polish and shoes (ladies love shoes) hope you get my drift. Little things do mean alot!

Hola a todos los que escribieron en este topico acerca de los habitantes de Vallarta.
Sinceramente dor las gracias a todos aquellos que cuidan de nuestra ciudad y se preocupan por los habitantes, tambien gracias a los que desinteresadamente desean obsequiar algun recuerdo de USA como muestra de agradecimiento por algun buen servicio recibido.
Pero definitivamente creo que a nadie le agradaria dejar de ganar en dinero real, ya sea en dolares o pesos por algun servicio, o que pensarian ustedes si yo fuera a Miami y tratara de pagarle a algun comerciante con una camisa con la bandera de Mexico, o con una cerveza corona?
Yo creo que lo mejor es pagar por el servicio y dejar las propinas o tips de acuerdo a tus expectativas, dejando asi a un lado los regalitos o recuerditos de USA como algo que realmente venga del corazon.
Gracias y disculpen que no lo haya puesto en ingles, pues no quiero cometer faltas de ortografia y hacer de esto algo comico, pero se que habra mucha gente que entendera lo que estoy diciendo.
