Yelapa is a very Mexican place. Not the beach bars but up the hill in the village. They just got electrical service there a couple of years ago. You cannot get there by automobile, only by boat. If you have a few hours there, go up to the village. The views are terrific and you will get a taste of the real Mexico.

Edit: My mistake about the roads. Just goes to show that a little more research is a good thing. There is a road to the village, probably not the best, but still no cars in town.
