1st time to PV. Single guy, where to stay?

I am going down to PV to thaw out from being in Barrow Alaska in 25 below weather and no sunshine! looking to spend about $100+ or so for 5 nights. Crown Paradise Resort is full. Is the NH Krystal any good? Any areas I might want to be at. I want a nicer than avarage place on the beach, but near the night life. Any help would be nice. And I can answer any and all questions about travel to Alaska!

Vallarta shores is the best condo hotel right on the beach in old town. Close to everything.
