"the rock" hotel ?
A hotel on the beach in old town, translated means \"the rock\"...anybody know the name...or any information, recommendation. Looking for something handy to old town(the fun area)...possibly maybe a condo or timeshare rental from a private party ! I was stuck in the hotel zone last time and want to be closer to the fun ! Appreciate any help.

...\"the rock\" in spanish is la roca but I am not aware of the hotel...sonofdob
It may be a stretch but it could be the Meza del Mar? The word \"mecer\" means to rock, like in a rocking chair, so this could translate to \"the rocking of the ocean\".
It may be a stretch but it could be the Meza del Mar? The word \"mecer\" means to rock, like in a rocking chair, so this could translate to \"the rocking of the ocean\". This is an old thread but I just found out that Meza del Mar is named after the family that owns the hotel, the Meza`s, who also own Lans Department store, so there goes my theory about the name......
alejandro mesa

he and his wife started out at la sutadora which is now rented out to woolworth as the apartments above are all rentals
then builted meza del mar at end of los muertos
thereafter started the lan´s
one across from woolworth
and the other at plaza coracol
which his young boys run
and finally all those ktc´s (kentucky´s)
the story goes that when he was building la sutadora
found a magical box (gold) treasure
he lucked out with small fortune
and capitialized on it..

wonderful hardworking family
