Any suggestions for first timers????

:? :?: I am getting married in May-- my fiance and I are planning on going to PV for the first time-- we are in our mid 20s--so we still like to go out and have a good time--- we are lookin for and AI resort-- with a great beach, nice rooms-- close to some night life and shopping-- but mainly a hotel that has it all--- I have narowed it down to Canto del Sol, Riu Jaliso, Velas Vallarta, or any other suggestions?

M:-( For first timers, it is true, walking shoes and a pair of water shoes is a must. The streets are cobble stones and brick and there can be rocks and coral in the water.HoneyMoneyPot :)

And mr chuck, you have some great off season rates too out of St Louie... wished we had them up this direction. but for some of the cost savings, we have to drive anywhere from 4 - 6 hrs to various surrounding airports to grab a funjet special. then you add the extra time, fuel (2.489 per gallon today) plus park and fly motels etc. your savings is out the door in a heart beat...

oh well... someday...

Geez, :roll: I wish you guys in the US would stop complaining about your gas prices. Right now our gas is $1.034 Cdn a litre so if you convert that to US$ and gallons it is about $3.30. :x

For a great pair of PV walking shoes try CROCS. They can also be worn in the water. They are located on V. Carranza @ Naranjo, kitty corner from El Brujo restaurant. Open Mon-Sat 10am-8pm

you can also find them at Wal-Mart, Mega and Gigante as well... but Crocs are some of the wierdest shoes, but everybody does wear them...

thank for the response :D . I will try at Wallmart in PV over here I had try to find them in Wallmart but I guess is a bit to early. How far is Wallmart from downtown PV and how to get there by bus? :?
CROCS are funky :lol: but I think I will pass on them, thank you though for the sugestion.

Wal-Mart is like 10 minutes from down town by taxi, the busses are easy as well.. i think there is one that will say Wal-mart... i am sure it is early for water shoes this time of the year... what size do you need, i may have a pair i will send you and you can HAVE them... :lol: 8)

My suggestion would be the Buenaventura. It is close to town, has a nice beach, AI, if you want, volleyball, etc. I loved being only a few minutes walk down the beach from the Malecon.

congrats on getting married... have you decided on a place yet or do you still want suggestions?

If you are looking for action etc, i would agree with Bella Luna on the Buena Ventura ... you are close to all the action downtown, as well as taking the new river walk to areas on the south..... Rui Jalisco is 30-45 minutes from all the action in Nuevo Vallarta.... it is a nice property, but you are always a taxi ride from town to party and the fun stuff....

Then again, you probably already have your reservations. Congrats and good luck.

:-)4 I would have to agree with Chuck about the no kids situation and suggestion, but you just might have all your travel docs done and ready to go. But for costs and closeness to the activities and fun spots, i still think Buenaventura would work good for you, locations, costs, and being AI as well.... win win situation ...
