Any suggestions...

The Buenaventure is near downtown (near the fun bars, restaurants, nightclubs...), while the Holiday Inn is farther away but still within a 15 minute bus ride or so.

You might also want to check out the Tropicana - it is not all inclusive, right on a beach downtown and near lots of restaurants -- alot more fun.

if you are looking to party, all you have to do is get on the malecon and you will be partying... just look for the hottest bar at the time and head on in.... but are you looking for party resort? or are you looking for a economical place to stay, the hit the bars at night... if that is the case i would head for the Buenavetura... close to down town, close to all the hot spots, close to off property resturants etc... and then go from there...

I would agree that Buenavetura is the best location for what you want. Nice place for the price, and you will have plenty to do and see.
