Anyone have anything GOOD to say about lajolla mismaloya???

leaving in 2 weeks and staying at lajolla mismaloya with two kids (5& 7 mos) was on trip advisor and nobody had anything nice to say about this resort. Im hearing alot of illness and moldy/dirty rooms, is this true? any info, please..

Chuck - I rather agree with you in that it is not really a trip designed for infants. However, sometimes people do not have the choice of leaving them with family. When my daughter was only 11 mo. we took her to Hawaii, it worked out fine. But a coulpe of years later we went and left her and little brother with Grandparents that worked out even beter, both for us and them. Little kids would rather have things and people they know that a lot of change.

My husband and I and also my brother and wife have stayed at Mismaloya 5 times and would not hesitate to go back there. The rooms are very nice, clean, large bathrooms, fridge in room, big towels, etc. The food is good, the pool area and garden area is wonderful. The beach has been decreased to almost nothing due to a storm a few years back but there are still areas for enjoying the beach and at the local restaurants down the beach, they have some nice beach sandy places, chairs, etc.
We loved it at Mismaloya, met lots of friends there and also the local vendors, etc. are great. Look up Roger, he works at one of the restaurants down the beach and speaks fair English. You will enjoy him.
