We are arriving in P.V. 4 days before we can check into our time share... can anyone suggest where to spend a few nights?

Re:Arriving 4 days early
I suggest the Tropicana, right on the beach, easy access to everything and reasonable! Also Playa Los Acros is a good choice for a good clean hotel in walking distance of the best places. These are moderate hotels, so if you give us some amenities you need and a budget, I or someone else can offer more suggestions.
Casa Anita is fine, but along side the highway which is dangerous to walk, and they have many steps, so if mobility is a problem, this may not be the best choice. Also, if you do not know Vallarta, you may miss a lot by staying here as it is a little off the beaten path...better for someone who knows where they are and how to get around. (I am not knocking Casa Anita at all, but manybe not the best choice if you want to be close or on the ocean and within an easy walk of everything) On the other hand, it is a cute place, yet the rooms, view and accessabiltity vary greatly.
Let us know more so we can offer more advice.

Are you looking for another resort similar to your timeshare? Or something low-budget? What part of town are you interested in?

If you would like to experience a true \"old Time\" PV setting try out Los Cuatro Vientos (the Four winds) high in the PV hills straight up from the Malecon at Matamoros #520. Great view, no TV, No AC Just tons of charm! Runs about 70 USD a night. Contact the owner Ms. Gloria Whiting (over 30 years in PV) at www.cuatrovientos.com or Telephone 22-2-01-61. This was Johm Fords favorite place on PV. Also Dick & Liz often came for drinks at the El Nido roof top bar & dinner at Chez Elena on the courtyard. Small pool
