Velas sustained only minor damage - the marina area fared well. The Malecon is still closed off but cleanup is amazingly fast. No more Los Arcos Statue though and it looks very sad.All of the storefronts, restaurants along the Malecon suffered substantial damage but work is being done at top speed. Hopefully most will be repainted, re-windowed and doored and open soon!
