Hi there, I am new to this board/site. First of all, thanks for the great info on here....this plus trip advisor have been wonderful to help plan our vacation! We have a four night getaway in about a week where we want to lay by the pool, walk the beach, head into the city for a night or two, a couple of excursions, snorkle, and relax. We chose Vallarta Palace for the pools and their mini golf course.

A couple of questions I have...can you \"float\" in the pool with mats? Where is the closest beach area where we can swim in the ocean -- I heard the undertow is too strong at the hotel.

For the excursions...does anyone know the schedules?
