Beach Bummed....

I just read a really crappy review about the beach at The Club Velas Vallarta...apparently the water is so rough at this beach that no one even bothers to go into the water...........has anyone ever been to the beach at the Velas? If so what are your opinions?

Just think, when somone who comes down for a week and experiences bad weather, high tides or rough water may assume it is like that all the time and then spreads the word that the Bay is not for swimming you have to remember they only experienced that one week.

I can attest that we have had some weird weather patterns the last few weeks which have made some days on the bay rougher than normal, but equally, we had a couple of days recently it was so calm people were out water skiiing and there was barely a wave lapping at the shore.

90% of the time, you can swim in front of the Velas, as well as most beaches. When you cannot swim, there is always one of the many pools to enjoy.

My one trip to Cancun was so cold and windy, no one could swim, even in the pool without being an ice cube. But that was the one week I was there and Mother Nature was cranky.
