Re:Best Place for 6-9 year old kids
We just got back from PV where we took our 11 and 13 year old with us. We stayed at the Melia (All Inclusive) in PV for two weeks. We stayed there (Jan 3-17th) because we were told it was for kids, and boy were they right. Three hundred rooms (totally packed) with at least 500 kids running around.
They have a great kids club, everything from every kind of game you can imagine to climbing wall, shooting, archery, dance classes, a kids play area, and lots of good food. We are from Canada and were worried about the kind of food offerred. All you can eat and really good, all the time. Our 11 year old figures he drank 150 (non alcohol) pina coladas.
I figure the complex (right on the bay with a great beach that you get to via a stairway) is at least 20 or 30 acres in size. Kids are really safe on the property, This is a place that your kids can get up before you in the a.m. take off, eat breakfast on their own, and then get into some kind of activity before you are up. The place is made for kids, and they have a lot of staff looking after them. They even have a night each week set up for camping overnight in tents (supervised) with other kids while parents do whatever.
This was our first time there, and we will definitely go back.
