Hey there Pauline - how old are the girls again? Are you travelling with them, or are they flying solo? If they are under the age of 17 or 18, the Golden Crown is out, as they have an age limit even if they are with their parents. Depending on what you are looking for for them, i think you could go either direction... If you are looking for them to be in an adults only atmosphere, then the Golden Crown.. if you are looking for them to experience downtown with minimal costs for taxis, then i would go for the Buenaventura...

you can even walk to Andales from there easy enough too... You are quite a walker! From Buenaventura, yes, the malecon is very close, but crawling from Andales back to Buenaventura Grand, is quite a feat. Or maybe you have rocket sneakers...
