We were booked at the Blue Bay Club at the end of October but my travel agent informed me that the hotel will be closed during that time for construction. Kind of screws up our trip since our travel agent wanted to rebook us at the Holiday Inn. Think we will stay at a condo at the south end of town.

Well u r lucky that your travel agent advise u that the BBC will be close for construction.
If u want a hotel of the same category, same price look for its parent Hotel : BlueBAy Getaway (now SunGetaway) that hotel is close from downtown on the beach, and it was fully renovated 3 years ago.
