Buena venturea beach club

I am looking for any info from anyoner who knows this property or has stayed there.
Friends are considering booking it this winter so if some kinfd soul out there can give me an honest evaluation ( please dont hold back ) it would be greatly appreciated.

Hotel is several blocks north of the Malecon. Beach can be rocky at times. Hotel was refurbished a few years ago and is Ok. Beach bar and restaraunt by the pool. Most rooms have ocean view but somewhat limited. Nice gardens and lobby area. Fairly close to downtown bars and activities. Stayed there once. It was ok but now prefer the Old Town area. Good Luck.
