buenaventura ?'s
We will be staying at the buenaventura in mid-July. Would love to get advice on the best room with the best view etc. Also, any tips on how to get a good room? Anyone in particular we should speak with or perhaps email ahead of time?
Thanks in advance!

I have to agree with Bzy1. You get what you pay for. And hey, vacations happen too infrequently, so go with the best you can afford. And if the best you can afford is not the very best, make the most of it, and most importantly enjoy your vacation time. Hopefully you will not be spending a great deal of time in your room, but will be enjoying the beauty of the city.

And oft-times, the upgrade cost at many hotels is a lot less than people think it might be.

One of my first trips, staying at the San Marino...the upgrade to a Junior Suite (ocean front balcony) was under $100US - for the WEEK (that price was about 5-6 years back). Absolutely positively a good buy! And it was just a matter of asking nicely what an upgrade entailed, what it would cost, and was there availability. When they told me, I immediately said \"how fast can you move my luggage?\" LOL
