I used to stay there a few years ago at the Punta Arena before they went A/I. The rooms used to be two bedroom one bath units with a kitchenette and living area, but they cut most of them down into hotel rooms for their A/I plan.
I have eaten there, and buffet food is buffet food to me. One day is more than enough for me.
The hotel itself is next to SunGetaway which in high season can be pretty loud at night.
Over-all, I LOVED it when it was not A/I and you have a huge apartment type lodging, (they should have a few left, but they are not part of the A/I program, which I do not recommend since you are so close to so many excellent and inexpensive
restaurants)
It is more or less on the beach, there is a path about 100 yards to walk to the beach from the pool area.
So, fine points, the two bedroom units are great, the A/I plan is for someone who loves buffet food in an enclosed restaurant.
The location is great, only a 15 minute or so walk to the start of the Malecon.
If you are looking for non A/I (Which I suggest unless you are holed up in Nuevo) try the Tropicana Hotel, Suites Emperador or the Los Acros hotel(s).
