Canto del sol and surrounding area

Will be in PV March 17-23 staying at the Canto del sol.
Looking for any info about the resort, tips warnings, info, stories, etc.
Also, any info about restaurants and places to get massages near by would be appreciated.

For an elegant and delicious meal my wife and I really enjoyed Desantos its downtown and has an amazingly romantic feel and the prices were not at all out of line. And for the best seafood we ever have had I suggest Mariscos Tinos its way off the beaten path but was faboulous by far our favorite nite out. If you want a loud fun enviroment with descent fajitas Pepes was entertaining but plan on a wait. Also just ask the concierge desk they never led us astray and were more than willing to make reservations for us. The help at the canto rocks.

They are 2 different places and by his description it was certainly Pipi´s on the corner of Guadalupe Sanchez and Pipila Sts.

Although my niece called when she returned from PV and I did ask questions I forgot to post. :) Liana and friends stayed the week at the Canto Del Sol...
They enjoyed the Resort . I was told it was very clean... staff were wonderful and the food was good.
The girls had stayed at the Melia last year so of course they found the Canto not as posh... but more affordable... and would go again.... tomorrow if they could... :)

The gals did quite a bit during the week...
They took in the pub crawl.
They went on the Pirate ship and said it was OK...
They did the tour... Sierra Madre with Vallarta Adventures and said hands down it was a fav.
They went on Las Caletas tour for a day of... dining ..swimming..snorkeling and to just relax..
Saw dolphins and whales on the tour..
