Canto del sol (formerly coninental plaza hotel)

WE ARRIVED HERE ON THE FOURTH WE ARE STAYING FOR MOST OF THE MONTH. THE HOTEL IS IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE THE NORTHSIDE FIRST FLOOR IS UNDER REPAIR AS WELL AS THE OCEANFRONT VILLA ON THE SOUTH SIDE. THE WORK GOES ON, WITH LITTLE OR NO DISTURBANCE TO GUESTS. THERE IS MUCH CONSTRUCTION TO OUR NEIGHBORING PELICANOS HOTEL, BUT THAT DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH US. THE FOOD AND DRINK ARE GREAT AND WE ARE HAVING A WONDERFUL TIME. ADIOS

How is the beach by the hotel? Is it usable? Thanks.

The beach in this area especially in front of the Pelicanos is a disaster. Very depressing sight

Greg, Do you happen to know what the beach area near Sun Getaway looks like? Is it in as bad as shape? We will be there in one week! WooooooHoooooooo! Thanks for any info you can provide! Brenda

the beach in front of pelicanos north of continental is unuseable. CATEPILLAR WORKS ON WALL WHICH NEEDS A LOT OF WORK. THERE IS REBAR EXPOSED IN THE SAND AND ONE SHOULD AVOID WALKING IN THIS AREA. The beach at the continental lost alot of sand per previous timesharers. The palapas are gone but there is some beach and some of the residents are using the beach just south. Though its not much to look at. SOME OF THE OTHER BEACHES LOOK IN BETTER SHAPE SUCH THE FEISTA americana and The Krysta VALLARTA. OF COURSE THIS IS MEXICO AND WORK GOES EXTREMELY SLOW. but all and all we love this area. ADIOS amigos.

brenda02. SUN GETAWAY BEACH IS OK. We walk down that way all the time there seems to be alot of people using the beach. In fact , I may use the broken up pier to go fishing off. THE WEATHER LAST TWO DAYS HAS BEEN SUPER.
