Canto del Sol - Have you stayed there?

Looking at the map it looks like its right by a river. What does the surrounding outside the property look like?
Sometimes public property like rivers or canals can be scary (trash, bugs etc). Anything noticable?

My husband and I arrive at the Canto Del Sol TOMORROW !!!! YEAH :)
I am going to take my new digital camera and expect to take lots of photos. I will give a trip report when I return on March 11.
