Canto del Sol
I think Canto del Sol is a bit classier, good buffet, Buenaventura has the benefit of being closer to downtown Puerto Vallarta though...

We stayed at the Canto March of this year - I was also looking into the Buenaventura. We heard some mixed review about it. So we went with the Canto again. We loved it - always something going on and great staff.
We had an awesome time.
