Canto del sol was great

Thanks to everyone who told me the Canto was good my wife and I really enjoyed it. The rooms were O.K. and the buffet by the end of the week was getting very, very old, so we just ate off resort for evening meals a few nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The help at the Canto is the star here, anything we asked for was provided. And for those who were complaining about weak drinks should tip now and again, I usually drink beer but Chris one of the bartenders made such a good vodka collins I switched up my drink and I tipped just a few dollars everyday and no matter how busy the bar was I always got a drink right away and there was plenty of booze in it. TheCanto had as nice or nicer stretch of beach as any hotel we walked by (and boy did walk alot) and the rooms were fine our first one smelled like a musty basement but we asked to change and were taken care of immediatly the next morning when they had an opening. for the money a great hotel deal. Only complaint they need to allow you more alacarte dinners and it would have been fantastic.

I am so glad you left this post. This is one of the hotels we are considering for our honeymoon in May. Sounds like a great place!

We will be traveling with our 3 boys...12, 10 & 9. Do you know of any activities the hotel offers for them? Any infor would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

We jsut got back from the Canto. We loved it. Karina is still in charge of the kids club. They all seemed to be having a blast all the time.
