Just back last night from a week in PV. Stayed at a small hotel named Casa Claudia in downtown north. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an out of the way, quite, old world charm and affordable. It is right on the beach with easy access, beautiful green grass courtyard with pool. The owner, Alexandro, and staff are fantastic. To look at the place you would think the hurricane by-passed it completely yet much of the ground level was destroyed. The terraces face west so you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets or have your morning café listening to the waves hit the beach. You can find it at www.casaclaudia.com
