We are planning another trip to Puerto Vallarta. We would like to know if anyone has stayed at the Club Viva Vallarta resort. If you have, how were the beaches/water, food, service, and the rooms? We have been to PV in May and in October. Both times the water was very muddy. We were told it was the rivers that flowed into the bay that caused this around the resorts that we stayed at. We were wondering if staying further out would make a different.

We just returned from PV on the 23rd of Feb.
Stayed at Club Viva Vallarta and loved every minute of it. It is a big resort 15 acres, built on a cliff. The beach was very nice, does have big rocks out in the water have to be careful. There are safe places to boogie board and surf and snorkel. We enjoyed the food, never went hungry.
There is a fridge in your room that they put pop in daily also leave a large bottle of water. The adult pool is where we spent time every day. Oscar was our favorite bartender. Our room was very clean, bed is alittle hard but you sleep well.
It is a big place so you get lots of exercise without trying too. Shows were great too.
Thermal mugs are a must when you are here, they keep your drink cold longer and not as many trips to the bar. Everyone wished they would have brought one too.
One last thought about Viva Vallarta, I would go back in a minute the staff was very friendly, everything was clean or being cleaned at all times and it is so beautiful you never get tired of being there. Enjoy your trip. We also loved the city of PV.
