Continental Plaza

Asking this question for an email penpal going to PV for the 1st time with her Mom on December 17th... Any first hand information (or rumors) about conditions at the Continental Plaza? They will be down for one week on an all-inclusive plan.

Thanks Freddy! I noticed after I read and replied to this post from \"Traveller\" that he/she had written very negative replies to a number of different threads on this board. Some people can manage to have a bad time anywhere. So thanks for the telling us another viewpoint. Much appreciated.

The Continental Plaza by some accounts was heavily damaged, as were most of the hotels in that general vicinity. Depending on what time you are planning to go, you may wish to ask your travel agent if they can guarantee that there is no construction going on. Nothing worse than trying to relax by the pool with a steady hammering going on around you.
From what I hear, most hotels will be ready to open in Late December.

I was just to another site and I checked the hotel reservations and it was posted that the continenetal is closed til Dec 12th So I will be on the phone this morning to our agent to check this out. Again god bless all those down there, they are hardworking people we may even post- pone our trip til we know for sure that the hotel is up and running That is how much we enjoyed our stay there..
