Leaving in a day for PV - has anyone ever heard of Costa Vida Vallarta (timeshare exchange)? Is it in a good area? nice beach? any input would be appreciated. Also, for anyone down there - is it still raining?

Re:Costa Vida Vallarta
I stayed there a couple of years ago and loved it. Their staff is very friendly and many have worked there for years. All the rooms have great views. It is a short bus ride to downtown; location is excellent. I was there shortly after the hurricane, which wiped out the beach and they were working at the time to re-build it. All in all, I think you will enjoy it.

I am at Costa Vida right now. I will be leaving for home tomorrow. The beach is rocky and not much to brag about. You will need water shoes if you want to venture out. The rooms are nice. The staff is wonderful. The location is great if you like the Romantic zone. A short bus ride 4.5 pesos or 45 cents roughly pp each way. Cabs are about $4 each way. We are really enjoying it.
We went on a timeshare tour of a lovely new resort on the other side of the marina. The resort was magnificent but it was also quite remote. I would imagine you could only get to town and the marina by taxi. I figure the romantic zone to be about a 30 min ride. Unless you want to spend a lot of time in the resort itself or spend $$$ on cabfare the Costa Vida is a better deal.
