Re:Crown Paradise
Dear Ginabina:

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Ana Ramirez and I am the Public Relations Manager at the Crown Paradise Resort.

We really appreciate the comments of our guests, because this is the way we can have feedback about the way we are doing things; however, I would like to clarify some points:

1. I am really sorry to hear that you did not like our selection of beverages. As an all inclusive, we announce that we have a selection of domestic and imported liquor brands, however, none of our brochures or publicity mentions that we offer several kinds of beer. Also, we do not guarantee a specific brand of liquor (or wine, as Zinfandel). We are sorry to hear that you could not find it here, however, I would like to remind you that you were in Puerto Vallarta, MEXICO, which is a different country than US and sometimes it is not possible to find the same brands than in US, and sometimes the way to prepare food is different (for example, the Tacos in Mexico are very very different than the ones prepared in US, but nobody in Mexico expects to have them just as home). Therefore, we would suggest you that the next time you plan to visit a resort, send an e-mail asking for the kind of liquors they have in order to avoid misunderstandings.

2. I am really sorry to hear that you did not like the food selection as well. We have changed all the menus this year and improve several things, having more options on the restaurants and new additions at the snack bars. I am really sad to see that you could not enjoy it.

As customer, you have the right to choose the destination and hotel that is more convenient for you. We can not force you to return to our hotel; therefore, we can ensure you that if you decide to stay again with us, we will do our best as hotel to make your holiday a pleasant one.

Thank you again for your comments. Should you need any further information or assistance, please feel free to contact me.

Very best regards,

Ana Ramirez

Re:Crown Paradise
Bravo Ana

I have stayed at the Crown on numerous occasions and can say that the beds are not the same as mine at home however they are plenty comfortable enough , as for the liquor and food complaints if you want the same food as at home and the same liquor then I suggest you stay at home , Mexico is vastly different from the states , Ana makes a great point in that before you book a resort e mail and ask specific questions so that you will not be dissapointed when you arrive , the Crown Paradise is a great place to stay and we will return again next year not just for the good food but the service there is the best , what other resort would reply to a negative email as Ana has done.
Re:Crown Paradise
As an 8 time guest of the Crown the orginal posting is very curious. We have enjoyed the food and the drinks each time we have stayed there. If you wanted to try other beers you should have gone over to the factory club. Also as others have said, the food is different in Mexico and that is why we go, for the difference. And about the wines, I am one of those people who love the blanco and tinto originating in Baja. Viva la diference!
P.S. We just returned from the myan suncoast, a very nice AI, but really missed the CP and Puerta Vallarta, we plan to visit the Crown again in about one year.
Hola to Ana Ramirez....Chuck & Kay Nuernberger from St. Louis, MO
Re:Crown Paradise
As I stated in my original posting this was First time in Puerto Vallarta, first time at an all inclusive and first time at Crown Paradise so had nothing to compare to in things I was disappointed in. As I advised before this was a lovely resort with a staff that was just excellent as far as caring about the guests and making sure you had a good time. However I still stand by and would like to advise Bill, help me rhonda, luv this, and Chuck you are missing the point. I am well aware that this resort has many loyal guests who have only the best things to say about the resort, me included; except I had just a few disappointments, which I am entitled to convey, considering it was my dollar that paid for the experience okay????? Point is well taken to call ahead and see if my favorite beverage is available, which is White Zinfandel wine when I want it, so relax my little \" Yuck\" friend, lots of us like it, just did not think to ask ahead about it, other things to do okay? We did call ahead about the menu selections, were unable to determine what to expect from the information we were given, not very specific beyond beef chicken and fish selections.
As I advised Ana Ramirez PR Mgr PV I greatly appreciated her courteous comments and advise about checking out specific needs and the fact that food is prepared \" differently\" as in the US. This is a lovely resort that goes all out to make sure you have a good time , the staff could not have been nicer or more gracious. We had a lovely time there all 9 couples. Just felt it was appropriate to advise on what was not to our satisfaction. Hard beds, blah food and no white zin , it was still a great time, all 9 couples. I still remember the lovely view, heavenly breezes, wonderful staff: just feel the AI expereince not for us. Just being honest and up front.
Re:Crown Paradise
I understand upfront and honest, and appreciate the positive attitude of your post(s), but there are some things it is simply not reasonable to expect to find in Mexico. To me that is the beauty of a vacation in a *foreign* country. In Paris, I drink French wine and in Mexico I drink Mexican wine or local beers. To expect differently is simply not reasonable. I have spent a dozen+ vacations in PV, love being there, and appreciate things as they are, not expecting or wanting them to be \"like home\". To travel happily and successfully I believe you need to keep an open mind.
Coming to PV
Ana Ramirez (Mar 19, 2003 01:36 p.m.):
Dear Ana,
My wife and I are coming to your resort in May and I would like to say Thank You for responding as the Public Relations Manager at Crown Paradise Resort. We tried Cancun last year and are looking forward to Puerto Vallarta this year. I would like some information on getting to the downtown area (transportation, restaurants, shopping, etc.). Thanks, again.
Re:Crown Paradise
I went to cancun 2 times last year to AL.... My wife and I both agree we love PV.... I owned a timeshare at Los Tules for 5 years and sold it... So I was looking for a AL to go to in June-July... I will tell you that the biggest draw back is how far away form town the AL is located.... In town you can taxi or ride the bus which we did .... You get a flovor of the locals in PV and we enjoyed the market and square area..... We are just in the planning page and could not resist sharing with you.... It has been 4 year since I have been there... Eddie emackokc@yahoo.com
