My hubby and I are bringing the kids to PV in June. We have been there several times and have always stayed in Old Town. My hubby wants to try Crown Paradise(not Golden) AI because of the things they have for the kiddos(5 & 14). I want to stay at a Condo in old town because of the beach area and I know we will end up going to Old Town anyways. May I have anyones thoughts on the Crown Paradise AI and if you think it is worth the extra 800$ we would spend? Is the resort as nice as what we see on website and is the beach any good? The food for AI any good? Drinks well only? Anyways I would appreciate any feedback as we are getting ready to book our trip. Yeahhhh
Crown Paradise vs. Condo

We stayed at a private villa last week and loved it. My wife and I were looking at what we should do for the next trip, which will include our three kids. We have stayed at Paradise Village in the past, and know that it would be great, but we would much rather have our kids see PV and the outskirts as opposed to the resort complexes. Crown P. was the place that we have also been considering, and having been by it now this last trip, I think it could be good spot. That being said, we would still rather be closer to old town and the cobblestone streets and culture. We are considering Playa Los Arcos as our next stop. It is a family style resort, and is right on the beach in old town. This might be a good compromise for you and your husband. My wife and I went through the place on Sunday and were very impressed, and even asked a few guests that were there for their thoughts. We will at least consider this property as we look at our next family trip. For us, we are more a family that likes to move around and take in the sights, as opposed to beach and pool time. Though we know that with the kids they would like to have that easily available when we come back each day from our adventures.
CPC is geared towards kids. Their new water park is really nice and seems to be well watched by the staff. New updates on the building itself gives the place a colonial appearance and overall the grounds are well kept like the GCP. The food is really pretty good, with breakfast having lots of authentic mexican dishes and a really good omlet station. The resturants are a little noisy but that what you get with vacations with kids.
The little ones will enjoy the shows at the club across the street at night, with several being geared to them.
