Hello BostonJoe! I am going to the GCP for the first time in April and have heard nothing but fantastic things. Chuck, Tom (Mr. Crown) and others are experts when it comes to the GCP and PV in general. You will get some good advice here and congrats!

I have not stayed at either hotel but I would pick the GCP over the RUI just because of the location. The RUI is not in PV. It is in Nuevo Vallarta which is in a different state (Nayarit(sp?)) all together and is about a 30 minute taxi ride into town.

Have only been to the GCP (9th trip in May) and can say I would have picked it for a honeymoon if it had existed then. For a surcharge you can have a dinner for two on the beach. Although not private, as everyone is looking for the handsome/beautiful couple to walk to their little \"private\" area on the beach, I am sure you will be impresed with the attention and service you receive.

Actually Lori you should think about the Crown Paradise Club Resort next door sometime for you and your little angel. Besides the obvious of being right next door to us, but your daughter would love the play area, and the kiddie pool. I will send you the power point presentation i got from them some time back with all the new renovations etc... We can come over to that resort and dine with you, catch rays with you, etc.. it is the best of all worlds... :wink:

SOLD! Oh...I forgot I am already staying there :lol: Tom, I would like a reservation for 2 at Paradise on 4/24 at 6:30...thanks! :wink: I am so excited. Mom and I have already started to pack our clothes. I also am a very outgoing person...Mom is embarrased some times. I always get involved in the activities and will join you in the \"sun dance.\" 8) We are going to get along well! YAHOO!

I in just south of Boston and have tried several airlines to get to PV. May I suggest you check out Aero Mexico. Some days, it varies by season, they fly from BOS directly to Mex City and then to PV. Careful that they do not route you through Atlanta, it adds from 4 to 7 hours travel time, instead of the 8 hours with the one stop.
