FIESTA AMERICANA UPDATES

STAYING AT FIESTA AMERICANA JAN4-JAN11 - 1ST TIME TO PV. LAST I HEARD HOTEL WAS TO BE RE-OPENED ON DEC. 15TH. DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY INFO. HOW DOES THE AREA LOOK. VERY CONCERN.

Im not sure on the update for reopening the Americana.. But my husband and I were there between Oct. 20 and Oct 27. It was a beautiful Hotel with great restraunts and bars. The pool was by far one of the best we saw along the beach front. The staff is WONDERFUL! We happened to be there durning Hurrican Kenna. It did alot of damage and I have alot of photos of the hotel and town before, durning, and afterwards. They day we were leaving they were starting the hard road back to being wonnderful. Im not sure if you have ever been to P.V. before but it is a beautiful town. My husband and I are seriously considering moving down there. I simply fell in love with the people and culture. Just watch out for the little side building where people try to sell timeshares. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE! I do hope you all can make it and have a wonderful time.. Again the fiesta Americana was a great hotel. (especially if you have the white braclet)

JUST RETURNED DEC 14 HOTEL HAD JUST OPPENED BUT POOL AND BEACH AREA WERE STILL BEING WORKED ON SHOULD BE IN GOOD CONDITION BY THE TIME YOU GET THERE

My husband and I will be staying at the Fiesta Americana February 12-19. This is our first trip anywhere so we are new at this. Pebbles - just wondering how your stay at Fiesta was? Also, can anyone tell me what the white bracelets are that aketolen referred to? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Has anyone been there this year (2003)? Is the pool opened? How is the beach area?

I got back last week from Los Tules, which is next door. At the Fiesta Americana they were just wrapping up the last little things on the pool area, like the roofs for some of the minor palapas for the activity sales, the little newsstand hut, etc. The pool and beach were back to normal as was nearly everything else at the Fiesta.
