GCP or Villa Premier-August 17-22nd???

Being this close to take off, i think you will be fine with the Villa Premier... we have read some excellent reviews on this place as well... no granted we have been the GCP 10 times over the last 8 yrs. You can always check into switching this close to take off, but why risk cancelling one and not getting the other. Just like pvfunlover stated, you are on vacation, so make the best of it. You will be just fine...

take care and have a great time in Vallarta. and then the next time come stay with us at the GCP... Oct 2006, Feb 2007 and June 2007

Islandaddict , Laurie and I have stayed at Premiere twice and have no qualms recommending this resort . It is quiet yet classy . If you want all the pool activities you can go next door to the Buenaventura ( you have use of all facilities) . Party next door and come home for relaxation and pampering . No loud music or obnoxious entertainment kids telling you how to enjoy your vacation (thats next door :) )

Unlike the GCP you are situated in the heart of PV . A short stroll to the malecon ( 10 minutes or 15 if you have a wooden leg :) ) Follow the malecon and the real heart of PV is just over the bridge - a very easy walk . Enjoy your vacation and be sure to give us a trip report. :)
Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I have decided to keep my reservations at the Villa Premier but will definately wander over to GCP and check it out for next time.
I will give a trip report upon my return. :D

Thanks again!

Good for you islandaddict... i think you will be very happy with your decision as well. Remember you make your vacation what you want it to be... and your resort is just an extension of your home .... so hang your hat on the wall, and get out and enjoy all that Vallarta has to offer. This is a wonderful area rich with traditions as well as some touristy things... but you will find the people to be friendly, loving, and fun to be around... Enjoy....  8)
