1st Why has Tom not jumped on this?
2nd Is the new poster soooo new that they have not seen the overwhelming posts about this resort .

Please....If you are a new poster, and not Tom playing a joke on us, do not take offense. Tom is our resident expert on the GCP and unless he is sick and in the hospital, I am sure that he will answer your post directly, and soon, on this excellent hotel. We were actually trying to goad him, not you. If you were to do a search of posts made by TOJO157 you will have all your answers, and I am sure you will not only see what I mean, but more than likely join us in getting at Tom. (He has about 2500 posts most of which speak about the hotel you asked about)

Once again, palmtrees2, I really do apologize to you for the post that probably started everything off. I really did think that you were Tom in disguise, and I bit hook, line, and sinker. This being said, please become a regular reader and poster on this board. You will find that this is a great board to be on, if you enjoy vacations (or living) in Puerto Vallarta. I too, do not post to any other boards, this one being my only passion. I have found people here that for the most part are the same age, have a common interest, and share my families love of vacations, in PV.

I have never stayed at the GCP though I have seen it and love its location. Tom is our resident expert on the hotel you questioned, the GCP, and boasts about its virtues ad nauseum. He, like us enjoys a great vacation on a regular basis, and has found a place that he feels is absolute heaven. My family has chosen the Melia as our regular home and we try to visit that place each year between Christmas and New Years. If our favourite place burned down, we would more than likely switch to the GCP also.

Which brings me to the last thing on my mind. We seem to all get along on this board, and after a few years many of us have actually sought out and met (and enjoyed the company) the other posters when we are on vacation in PV. This is close to June already, and some of us (me included) are suffering withdrawal, and dearly wish that someone paid for a week in PV for us right about now. Since we have all posted every little bit of information about our last trip (this past winter) to this board by now, instead of getting repetitious, some of us (me especially) start to get stupid, and start to play jokes on each other to keep up our spirits while waiting for our next chance of visiting paradise. Last week we tried to sell off a café in PV on e-bay. I am very sorry we came at you the way we did.

I know what you mean. Mexico and especially PV is a great buy for us, here in St. Louis.

Hey Ron, I did look at the Melia and have walked by it many times. Three problems for us:
1: KIDS
2. Bigger than the GCP by 1/3
3. Not the Staff (family) of the GCP
4. More expensive that the GCP (Opps) #4

You got it, just how much time do you require? :D

If you are serious about some deep sea fishing, i suggest you post a request on the \"personal contacts\" section of this bulletin board to find members that might be down there the same time you are.. and maybe you will find some people to go fishing with. you might ask around the resort when you get there, or check with Karen and Leyte ... these two wonderful ladies sale tours there at the resort, and they may have other
guests wanting to do the same thing as you...

Does GCP offer Internet Service? Just wondering what the best method of communication to those left at home will be for us while honeymooning. If Internet Service is available, what is the charge?
