Okay I want your advice between the Golden Crown Paradise vs. the Buenaventura. Which one would you chose and why?? :D

The wife and I have stayed at both. Once at GCP and six times at the Buenaventura, so you can guess which one we prefer.GCP was nice, but we did not like the location. We like being walking distance to the malecon and the romantic zone plus the Buena staff has always been great. However, the last time we were at the Buenaventura it booked a large school age soccer club, and to be honest it kinda ruins a vacation with a couble hundred kids running around. We have sinced moved on down to the old town to Playa los Arcos. Not the classiest resort in Mexico, but loved that it was across from Andales.We have reservation this time for the San Marcos Plaza so looking forward to checking it out.

Well as a 16 time repeat guest to the GCP, and been dubbed Mr Crown for various reasons... we like the GCP... granted it is farther away from the Malecon compared to the Buenaventura... but you have to look at what you are going to do in Vallarta... Are you going for adult R & R or are you going to party until the cows come home, or do you plan on doing a lot of shopping, partying, dining out etc... the GCP is an adults only All-Inclusive with access to her sister resort at the Crown Paradise Club Resort (Family all-inclusive).... You can wine and dine over there as well as the GCP... you are just a short walk to where most of the tours debark from at the Maritime Marina.... it is a 15 minute taxi cab ride to downtown and all the fun zones or by bus for a lot cheaper... We love the Staff at the GCP, they are our familia more than most people can imagine...

I could not agree more Mr. Crown- It does depend on what you looking for. We picked the crown simply because it was adults only not to mention a great deal out of St. Louis. The staff was great, rooms clean and food pretty good.The bar between the two resorts was fantastic. Still, the Buena is a nice place too. So all and all my preference went to the Buena for the location reason. I would add, whose opinion do you trust? a Hawkeye fan or an Illini fan? LOL
