While staying at the grand marival did anyone encounter any cockroaches?

We were there from 2/2/02 to 2/9/02 and were pleasantly surprised at the TOTAL ABSENCE of any type of bugs. There were no flys, mosquitos or any crawling types of bugs at all. We had expected at least some mosquitoes, but there were no bugs anywhere, inside or outside.
