Holiday Inn. Any info on repairs,beach,etc???

Hey there yall. Just found this great board awhile back and have enjoyed all the informative posts. The wife and I booked an AI 7 night trip to the Holiday Inn because the price was right and we wanted to try somewhere new in Mexico to go. I have been researching the town, all the great restaraunts, bars, and beaches, but am still wondering about the condition of the beach by the H>I>. Anyone been there lately and taken picts?

Was at the HI in Dec. Things were in great shape and I understand it is even better since then. Ask for room in the tower above the 9th floor for a fantastic view. I would not go AI. Too many places to eat at in PV that are so terrific.

Just another opinion on AI: We stayed at HI last winter and did the AI. Never thought we would like it but figured out with just eating breaksfast there, maybe a lunch or 2 and the drinks, we would still be ahead and could go out for main meals. Breakfast buffet was like $12 a person and we like to have breakfast at the hotel and do the beach in the morning.
Also, we spent a lot of time at the beach and surrounding area so used the AI for drinks all day most of our vacation. If you are going to be on the go all the time and only use your hotel for sleeping, AI would not be worth it but we found we were ahead of the game by doing it. Would do it again. Evening meal is the one you want to experiment with and go to different places. Enjoy.

This has some pictures of the view from the Holiday Inn from our 15th floor condo. It is our own private condo so your room will not be the same. But you can at least see the awesome view that you will have. You will love PV. Have a great trip!
