Holiday Inn Pool/Beach

Started March 4, 2004 · 4,087 views · 4 posts
We will be arriving at the Holiday Inn PV in 13 days. Question about the pool/beach to anyone that has stayed there : are there usually enough lounge chairs by the pool and/or beach to accomodate everyone? Or has it ended up to be one of those \"see who can get up and out there earliest\" so you can get a couple chairs? And then will it end up to be chairs that are saved all day long that you never actually see anyone use??? Just curious on this........any replies would be great.

Re:Holiday Inn Pool/Beach
I stayed at this hotel, and there are always plenty of chairs, even during the busiest times. I went during a busy holiday time, the first week in May, and there were always places to sit. As a matter of fact, our favorite spot was always available to us no matter what time of day we got there. It seemed that everyone had their favorite spots and everyone else respected that. There are always more chairs available around the deep end of the pool, and that end is less crowded because the children do not like the deep water and tend to stay at the other end of the pool, where the bridge is. My favorite spot was the chairs before you get to the bridge. Rafael could always see when you needed another drink. Sergio was great too. If you see them, they are great.

As an aside, even though HI is all inclusive, you will get better service, especially in the lobby bar and restaurants, if you tip. I always tipped Rafael and Sergio pretty good, and they gave me better drinks and doubled them up. I had a great time there.

SunGirl369 I laughed when you described your fav spot. That is where we always choose to sit. My other favorite is by the shallow part (lots of kids) but close to the restaurant - for quick getaways for a munch. You are right about tipping even with an all inclusive package. A few $ every couple of rounds / meal will go a long way to improving your holiday and will show the staff appreciation .
