Rented a condo there in February. Hotel is very nice on a great stetch of beach. We did not do the AI thing but everyone there seemed happy with it. The pool was great. We did use the pool side waiters alot for drinks and they were FANTASTIC. They also have a couple of shops and a place for internet. The location was also great...within walking distance to many things and the bus stops right out front if you are going farther.

I know one good thing, one of the animation staff is previously from the GCP. His name is Charlie and one of the greatest guys you will find. He will keep you in stiches.

I am not sure where we will stay but I do know that the Holiday Inn is in my top 5 Resort list . :)
Does anyone know when the construction next door is to be completed.

This is our experience at PV airport. If you have lots of luggage, God forbid, then taking the airport taxi (usually white SUV) at front doors is easy. They charged 150 pesos 1 year ago for 4 adults plus luggage. I f you walk out to the highway & take the crosswalk bridge across highway there is usually yellow taxis can be had for much less. 55 pesos. Also there is a bus stop beside highway at walk way bridge.
The airport taxis only take you from airport to hotel, and not from hotel to airport. So must take yellow taxis. Also airport taxis dont barter, so its take it or leave it. Versus yellow taxis may barter.
Just for interest, last year it was 55 pesos from airport to hotel & only 25 pesos the other way. Go figure.

You are certainly staying at a great location. Stayed there for 6 consecutive years. This year we are going at Christmas & only the Villa Del Palmar had space. First time in December usually we go in February.
