hotel suggestions

will be arriving in p.v. this december and am seeking a small friendly downtown hotel. my last trip i stayed at a resort which was great - yet i was away from the downtown setting. i want a feel for the community. the heck with all the trills of the resorts. any suggestions??

One suggestion you may like is a small family run hotel right on the beach. Vallarta Shores has condo-type accomodation with Ocean view, pool etc. I´ve had many friends stay there and all were very pleased with the price and amenities.
