Hotels IN Nuevo Vallarta

Hi - I am taking a trip to Puerto Vallarta for the first time and any info would be greatly appreciated. I am looking at a hotel Riu Jalisco in Nuevo Vallarta and wanted to see if anyone had any feedback on both the hotel and
Nuevo Vallarta. Are the beaches nice in Nuevo Vallarta and is it very far from the night spots in Puerto Vallarta ?? Thanks =)

Nuevo Vallarta is in a quieter area. Nuevo Vallarta is a different state than Puerto Vallarta. I have stayed in both and prefer Nuevo Vallarta! The beaches are beautiful. The cab fare to downtown Puerto Vallarta from Nuevo Vallarta is 130 peso (8.85 - 9.0 peso to the $1.00US).
