How long in advance should I book a reservation?

Just a Thought
Hello there, but just a thought. with the tragic events of huricanes in the Caribbean (Cancun, Central America, Jamaica, US Gulf Coast), i would start booking yesterday if you have any dates in mind. I have been visiting with a lot of people switching to Puerto Vallarta, Matzalan, Zihu, etc. etc. If you have any ideas, i would get to a travel agent as soon as possible and start checking out the possibilities....

Donny boy - if six months is too much for you, then you will die when you here we book almost a year in advance for the GCP. When we arrive this next february (10 -24), we will sit down with Guest Relations and Reservations and book our 2007 trip before we leave. We will have the dates, room number, and price all locked in before we check out. We have been doing this for the last 5 years especially since we like to stay for two weeks and we like a \"certain\" room every year.... i think any other year you might be able to show up with your bags in hand, and hit some of the smaller hotels and condos etc... but this year during the high season and spring break, you might be sleeping in the streets... i could be wrong, and maybe there will be some hot deals out there come late Jan or Feb for immediate travel or for spring break week....

Good Luck Donny, hope you get lucky and find a spot to land when you want to come down to Vallarta....

It would be rare for all of PV to be booked up solid, if you truly are willing to stay just any-old-where and are not picky about accommodations. But this may well change for the coming season with recent events effecting Cancun, Cozumel, PdC, etc.
