For Ibeenthere - If one of your group is going to a timeshare at Krystal I would suggest changing plans. We have a timeshare at Krystal and we were in PV Nov. 8 - 15th. It was cancelled with 2 days notice and we paid again and booked for 4 at Velas Vallarta. We visited Krystal and the timeshare area was severely damaged and it will probably be May until it is repaired. They had some hotel guests in the upper floors, the timeshare pool was closed, all grass and shrubbery is gone, palm trees are damaged with salt water, there were piles of furniture everywhere, the beach front units were gutted with the hurricane and the beach was very bad but I understand it is now fixed up. It was very depressing and the area should have been closed to guests but was not except they cancelled time share guests. Most of the hotel area was ok. I know it will be back in a few months and we are booked for 2 weeks in November. The Marina area was fine and you would not know they had a hurricane, it was just the specific area from downtown to the Hotel Zone. Devasting for the people who live and work in PV.

Did you happen to see the Blue Bay Getaway? How is it for damage? We are heading down there on Jan.14/02, so I was just curious too see if everything is operational? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!
