Have stayed at the Krystal for many years. Does anybody know what the situation is there with so many of its accommodations on ground-level? The beach has been washing away a little each year before the intense waves of Kenna.

I imagine the large palapa down at the beach over the (Velas?) restaurant took a beating and may be actually gone? Anyone know for sure?
Alaska Airlines Vacation group contracts with the Krystal and other hotels in PV. They are being told by the Krystal that they are 100% and are able to honor all reservations, which fits with the previous notes. They are, however, scrambling to re-book their reservations for the Sheraton which will be closed till January.
Apparently the Krystal is hosting a huge convention during the week of Nov 20 (Revolution Day) and all the guests depart on Sunday. We will arrive on the 23rd but could not get a room at the Krystal till the 24th so we are staying at the Hacienda Buenaventura just across the street for one night.
